Oak Park Community Center is located at 14300 Oak Park Blvd Classes will be held on the tennis courts just west of this community center
CLINIC DESCRIPTION Pee Wee: This program is for children ages 4-6 and introduces tennis in a fun and exciting way. Students become familiar with the equipment and the tennis court. They develop hand-eye coordination along with movement skills. Basic tennis fundamentals are taught through lots of games!
Beginner: This class is designed for the student with little to no prior tennis experience. Students will improve hand-eye coordination and agility, perform racquet-handling skills, and become familiar with the tennis court. Emphasis is placed on learning basic strokes and games associated with tennis.
Teen Beginner: Designed for the teenager who has had little or no prior tennis experience. Students will learn all the basic strokes as they develop enthusiasm for the game. A great class for anyone aspiring to make their high school team.
Advanced Beginner: This program is designed for students who have some experience and can hit a tossed ball consistently. They have knowledge of the basic strokes and are ready for the next level of play. Emphasis is also placed on moving and hitting.
Adult Beginner: This program is designed for those who have not played tennis or have been away from the game and are ready to sharpen their skills.
Adult Advanced Beginner: Designed for those who have minimal playing experience but have knowledge of the basic strokes and are ready to learn how to play.
Cardio Tennis Cardio Tennis pushes your fitness to a new level with a high energy workout! It’s a fun group activity featuring drills to give players of all abilities an ultimate high energy workout. Includes warm-up, cardio workout, and cool down phases. If you want to find a healthy, new way to get in shape and to burn calories…try Cardio Tennis! Maximum number of students is eight.
Spring Session 2008 May 18-June 8 (4 weeks) Make-up date to poor weather conditions will be scheduled on Sunday, June 15
Summer Session 2008 June 22-August 3 (6 weeks) No class Sunday, July 6th Make-up date to poor weather conditions will be scheduled on Sunday, August 10
